Wacky graffiti-themed rhythm game
FNF Funkin Music: Rap Battle is a free rhythm game with a visual style influenced by cartoons and graffiti. Choose your song, select a difficulty mode, and do your best to hit the arrows at the right time for the beat.
This game should not be confused with FNF Music Battle: Rap Shooter, which has a similar aesthetic but different gameplay. This app is purely a rhythm-based game in the vein of HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! APK. A host of wacky cartoon characters will perform as you follow the tune.
Hit the arrows
The basic mechanics of FNF Funkin Music: Rap Battle should be familiar to anyone who's ever played a rhythm game. At the bottom of the screen are four arrow icons. In time with the music, arrows in corresponding positions will drop from the top of the screen. Your job is to hit the correct icon whenever an arrow reaches it.
Dozens of songs
The game has dozens of songs to choose from. They are available in easy, medium and hard modes. When you first play, only four songs are available. However, as you complete songs, you will earn diamonds that can be used to unlock more. You can spin a "wheel of fortune" to multiply your diamond winnings by watching adverts.
Stylish presentation
The presentation in FNF Funkin Music: Rap Battle is top-notch. A set of appealing cartoon characters perform during the songs, ranging from rapper kids to grinning devils. The music itself is fairly catchy without being annoying, and there are even special Christmas levels.
Lacks a story mode
Compared to some better-known rhythm titles, like the Hatsune Miku series, FNF Funkin Music: Rap Battle is limited. For one, there is no story mode. Another oddity is that none of the songs qualify as rap music, despite its title. Nevertheless, as a free game, it has plenty to offer, especially in terms of quick fun.
